Year 16/28 – pt.2/2 – My first customer doesn't talk...
On the day of filming, I received support from (previously mentioned) Zaheer. We filmed until late into the night. I flew a drone for the first time. I didn't care that the shop was full. We were completely focused. And just as I hadn't slept the night before because I was too excited, I lay exhausted on my mattress (my brother slept on the bed -> because he's older, I still find the reasoning illogical, but never mind). And again, I was nervous and excited. Will it really be good? I went through every shot in my head, how will I edit it? What do I want to say? Now comes the harder part. A day later, on Sunday, I thought I was too late with the delivery. So I sat down immediately and focused intensely on the editing and immediately entered a 12-hour tunnel, finishing sometime during the night. Editing is a flow, so it's hard to describe; it's intuitive and moves forward. With the finished film, I went to the client, Ridvan, on Monday evening. He watched the video. He looked at me, waited a moment, and watched it again. He didn't say a word. This happened about 10 times. Then he got up and walked away. I thought he didn't like it and was terrified. How could I explain to my parents that I had to give someone so much money back because he didn't like the work? This pressure made every second feel like an hour. At some point, he sat down next to me: 'When you came, I thought to myself, out of pity, come on, the boy has a dream, he needs some money... But I never thought it would turn out so incredibly well.' Do you know what an indescribable feeling it is when you've learned everything from scratch for your dream and then someone says it's better than they ever imagined? That day, a drive began. A momentum. A fire that grew even bigger. I knew that if I had achieved so much with my knowledge so early on, then just wait and see what happens in the next few decades... By the way, the restaurant film is still running on the website today... https://lnkd.in/dTbPbtFh
